Veracomp opens a new subsidiary in Bucharest on June 1, 2007 to provide support services for local resellers and system integrators. The opening will also enable Veracomp to increase its position and visibility in the region. The new company is registered under the name Veracomp Europe srl. The subsidiary is in the process of hiring sales consultants and engineers who will support Veracomp’s business partners and their customers in Romania. The office is located in Bucharest’s 5th District on 19 Victor Babes Street. Catalin Matei will head the subsidiary as the Chief Executive Officer. - “We have been working to develop business in Romania and making a long-term commitment to our business partners,” says Catalin Matei, CEO of Veracomp Europe slr. “The new office will allow us to increase support and work closer with our customers.” - “In Romania we found the best perspectives and possibilities for IT market development. We are opening the new office in response to demand and orders from the region,“ says Mariusz Kochanski, director of the Network Systems Department and member of the Executive Board of Veracomp. “This new facility will help us to manage large, complex IT projects.” Veracomp is the Polish specialised distributor of IT solutions with particular expertise in the technological areas such as networks, telecommunications, security, servers, storage and peripheral products. In Romania Veracomp will focused on security products (Nokia, Fortinet, Tipping Point, Blue Coat), networks and telecommunication (Extreme Networks, F5 Networks, Proxim) and IP telephony (Avaya). The company sells products and services exclusively to resellers, systems integrators and service providers. Apart from financing and logistics, Veracomp offers presales advice, help in acquiring customers and finalising sales, as well as technical services and marketing support. Educational back-up in the region is offered by Compendium, a Veracomp subsidiary. Since 2002 the company has been operating in 16 countries of Central and Eastern Europe (Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Slovenia, Romania, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Russia). Veracomp’s annual revenues in 2006 reach 213.2 million PLN (approx. 75.5 million USD). Veracomp is headquartered in Krakow, Poland. The new location continues Veracomp's expansion of its branch office and subsidiary network, which now includes 12 branches in Poland (9), Hungary (1), US (1) and 1 subsidiary in Romania.
